Home2Home Nursery was established in 2014 as a childminding service and after a successful launch of our Round Green branch, we expanded further and open our Adelaide branch, in February 2019. The setting is situated in the heart of Luton, within walking distance to Luton Mall which we visit regularly.
Home2Home concentrates on life-skills as opposed to classroom schooling, we offer services to a wide range of children from various cultures and religions. The nursery offers children a range of learning opportunities inside and outside of the nursery building. Adelaide home is situated in a purpose-built 2 storey building, which has easy access for our children and parents. The children have access to outside play daily, throughout each season and our garden is secure with perimeter fencing. We are a fully inclusive nursery that is currently able to provide 48 full time equivalent places for children age 3 months to 4 years old.
The aim of the nursery is to provide a 'home-from-home' welcoming environment where children thrive on fun and laughter, as well providing a happy and inviting place to have fun with others. Our environments are homely, comfortable, stimulating and exciting.
Our vision in the Foundation Stage is to nurture children’s natural enthusiasm to learn, by understanding what our children already know. We inspire learning through excellent play opportunities and a passion for bringing a rich and varied curriculum to life. We thoroughly plan learning opportunities and robust assessments, aiming to lead all children towards self-motivation and challenge, encourage self-discipline, perseverance and commitment to their learning and individual needs. The staff encourage the children by scaffolding as they learn and develop.
We open all year, Monday to Friday, from 8am-6pm closing on bank holidays and 5 days for Christmas and New Year’s. The nursery is currently divided into three age ranges: The explorers (0-24 months), the Adventurers (2 year to 3 years) and the Inventors (3 years – 4 years). Within the nursery there is also a sensory room which is linked to the Adventurers room. It is also used for sleeping and calm activities.
We offer funded places to children and families who are in receipt of two-year-old and three-year-old funding.
We freshly cook vegetarian meals, ensuring every child has their five a day with a balanced diet.
Hello, my name is Ann-Deen White,
I am the area manager for Home2Home
Nursery, overseeing operations at two sites.
I have fourteen years’ worth of experience; I also have graduated with a BA Hons in Early Year Education studies and a Foundation degree in leadership and management. Additionally, I am trained in Paediatric First Aid, Safeguarding and Prevent, FGM awareness, Food hygiene and Inclusion. I am also one of the Designated Safeguarding Lead for the settings. As a Designated Safeguarding Officer, I work alongside the Early Intervention team in Luton to ensure that the children under my responsibility receive the best possible care and support. Working closely with my highly trained practitioners, I am able to identify and support vulnerable families who are at risk of being exploited or radicalised. I believe that every child is unique in their own rights and deserve to be treated as individuals
I have a very high standard of work ethic which I expect my staff to adhere to. My staff give the children the confidence they need to explore the different areas of the curriculum, ensuring that the children become confident learners and inspire them to want to learn and achieve much more.
I find my role as nursery manager very rewarding and I am very passionate and confident about the activities and care we give to the children, ensuring that the children have the best start in life during their nursery experience.
I take pride in knowing that our setting have outstanding quality staff that make the time to get to know you and your child as an individual, helping to nurture and encourage learning through discovery and enjoyment. I am very fortunate that many of my team across the two branches have been with the company for a very long time. Some have been here since the nursery opened in 2016!
They are all committed and many longstanding to Home2Home just like myself.
